Not much to do with council estates I know, but my constant readers - whoever and wherever you are - will remember a snippet of this song (as the theme tune of the 1969 BBC2 series, Take Three Girls) cropping up on a previous post of mine that ruminated on the true meaning of Modernity as I felt it, even as a child back in the late 60s and early 70s. I'm posting this both for your delectation, and for me. In these dark, damned, twenty-first century days of enforced austerity, rampant pirate capitalism and social dissipation, this is just what I need right now: 1970, jazz-folk, lightness, flight, a real sense of progress, playfulness. Take me back there, now.
